Flovent Diskus is a prescription inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) medicine used for the long-term treatment of asthma in people aged 4 years and older.

ICS medicines such as fluticasone propionate help to decrease inflammation in the lungs. Inflammation in the lungs can lead to breathing problems. Flovent Diskus is not used to relieve sudden breathing problems and will not replace a rescue inhaler.
