 Recommended Adult Dosing

Dosage forms:  INJ

Intra-abdominal infections

[3.375 g IV q6h x4-7 days]
Info: for appendicitis or peritonitis

Gynecologic infections

[3.375 g IV q6h x7-10 days]
Info: for postpartum endometritis or PID

Skin/skin structure infections

Pneumonia

[hospital-acquired or ventilator-assoc.]
Dose: 4.5 g IV q6h x7 days; Info: may extend duration based on clinical response; refer to IDSA guidelines
[community-acquired]
Dose: 4.5 g IV q6h x7 days; Info: for inpatient tx; refer to IDSA guidelines

Renal dosing
