 Recommended Adult Dosing

Dosage forms:  TAB: 5 mg, 10 mg, 20 mg, 100 mg

Edema, heart failure-assoc.

[10-200 mg PO qd]

Start: 10-20 mg PO qd, may double dose until response obtained; Max: 200 mg/day

Edema, renal dz-assoc.

[20-200 mg PO qd]

Start: 20 mg PO qd, may double dose until response obtained; Max: 200 mg/day

Edema, hepatic dz-assoc.

[5-40 mg PO qd]

Start: 5-10 mg PO qd, may double dose until response obtained; Max: 40 mg/day; Info: give w/ aldosterone antagonist or potassium-sparing diuretic

HTN

[5-10 mg PO qd]

Start: 5 mg PO qd, may incr. to 10 mg PO qd after 4-6wk; Max: 10 mg/day

Renal dosing

renal impairment: caution advised; anuria: contraindicated

HD/PD: no adjustment; no supplement

Hepatic dosing

hepatic impairment: caution advised; hepatic coma: contraindicated
