 Recommended Adult Dosing

Dosage forms:  SOL: 1 g per mL

Respiratory tract congestion

[50-250 mg PO tid]
Max: 500 mg/dose; Info: for pts w/ chronic pulmonary disease

Thyroidectomy, preop

[50-250 mg PO tid]
Start: 10-14 days before surgery

Thyrotoxicosis

[50-500 mg PO tid]

Sporotrichosis, cutaneous/lymphocutaneous

[individualize dose PO tid]
Start: 5 drops PO tid, then incr. up to 40-50 drops PO tid; Max: 40-50 drops tid; Info: continue until 2-4wk after lesions resolved; use standard eye dropper
