Recommended Adult Dosing

Dosage forms:  SL TAB: 5 mg, 10 mg

Insomnia, short-term tx

Dose: 5 mg SL qhs; Max: 10 mg/day; Info: for sleep onset; use lowest effective dose, shortest possible tx duration; give immediately before bedtime and >7h before planned awakening; give 5 mg SL qhs in elderly or debilitated pts; give on empty stomach; reevaluate if insomnia persists after 7-10 days of tx; taper dose gradually to D/C if prolonged use
