Recommended Adult Dosing

Dosage forms:  TAB: 80 mg/12.5 mg, 160 mg/12.5 mg, 160 mg/25 mg, 320 mg/12.5 mg, 320 mg/25 mg

Hypertension

Dose: 1 tab PO qd; Start: 160 mg/12.5 mg PO qd, may incr. dose after 1-2wk; Max: 320 mg/25 mg/day; Info: for use as initial tx if BP control unlikely on single agent
[replacement/add-on therapy]
Dose: 1 tab PO qd; Start: same doses of both components if replacement tx; start combo at lower dose of either valsartan or HCTZ if receiving prior max tolerable dose of that component as monotherapy; may incr. dose after 3-4wk; Max: 320 mg/25 mg/day
