Recommended Adult Dosing

Dosage forms:  TAB: 25 mg, 50 mg, 100 mg

Hypertension

[50-100 mg/day PO divided qd-bid]

Start: 50 mg PO qd; Max: 100 mg/day; Info: start 25 mg PO qd if on diuretic; decr. efficacy as monotherapy in Black pts, consider combo tx

Nephropathy

Start: 50 mg PO qd; Max: 100 mg/day; Info: for pts w/ type 2 DM and HTN

Stroke prevention

[50-100 mg PO qd]

Start: 50 mg PO qd; Max: 100 mg/day; Info: for pts w/ HTN and LVH; possibly ineffective in Black pts; may give w/ HCTZ
