Recommended Adult Dosing

4-6 mg/h IV

Start: 1-2 mg/h IV, double rate q90sec until near BP goal, then increase. by smaller increments q5-10min; Max: 32 mg/h; 500 mg/24h; 72h; Info: each 1-2 mg/h increase. produces 2-4 mmHg decrease. in systolic BP; transition to PO antihypertensive ASAP
